promises to offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise. With a career spanning
major global sporting events including multiple FIFA World Cups, and Olympic
Games, John brings a treasure trove of experience from his roles at the IOC,
FIFA, and as a strategic advisor to World Cup 2026 host cities. Being a
graduate of the prestigious FIFA Master has helped him foster a deep and unique
network of global industry professionals, coupled with his firsthand experience
in organizing world-class events, makes him the perfect guide for our journey
towards 2026.
This workshop will offer a deep dive
into the World Cup ecosystem, stakeholder engagement strategies, and
comprehensive planning for host cities and destinations. Through focused
modules, we'll explore the roles and responsibilities within the World Cup
framework, opportunities for collaboration, and the development of effective
destination strategies and project plans aimed at maximizing the impact and
legacy of hosting the World Cup.
The workshop will take place during DI's
CEO Summit on Friday, April 5th, from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Westin Copley Place in
Boston, MA. It will be an intensive session aimed at CEOs and up to two lead
staff members per host destination, working directly on World Cup preparations.
We believe your participation will be instrumental in harnessing the full
potential of this global spectacle.
