Bio

Al Snow currently serves as the Convention, Meeting and Event Representative for Visit Central Florida, with a primary focus on business development and execution of events in the association, corporate and faith based markets. In addition, Al is responsible for the  oversight of marketing strategies in the outdoor recreation tourism segments including fishing, golf, hiking, nature/ecotourism and other outdoor pursuits. During his tenure with Visit Central Florida Al has been responsible for the planning and execution of high-profile events such as the Florida SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, the International Practical Shooting Confederation Handgun World Championships, the Miss Florida Pageant, the National Archery in Schools Program Florida State Championships and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Associations Annual Conference. Al has also served as the organization’s Communications Specialist where he oversaw public relations efforts for sporting events hosted by Central Florida’s Polk County Sports Marketing and has served as host for the weekly sports radio show, “Sports Central” and as a co-host for the bi-weekly “Sports Central” television show.

Prior to joining Visit Central Florida, Al Snow had spent more than 15 years working in the outdoor sports industry.  Most recently Al was the Manager of Event Marketing and Sponsorship for ESPN Outdoors where he handled all sponsorship negotiation, activation and event marketing for B.A.S.S., ESPN Outdoors and ESPN Saltwater Series television programming. Al was part of the ESPN Outdoors team that was responsible for annually planning and executing the Bassmaster Classic and Outdoors Expo, eight B.A.S.S. Elite Series Tournaments/Consumer Expos, the ESPN Outdoors Sponsor Summit and the ESPM “NEXT” Super Bowl VIP Events. Al also worked directly with companies in the hunting, fishing and outdoor industries on their on-air advertising programs, in-show product placement and execution of activation programs at large scale events such as the Bassmaster Classic.

Prior to ESPN, Snow served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the publishing company that published Golfweek Magazine, Fish and Fly Magazine, Golf Life Orlando and several other consumer periodicals. As Director of Marketing, Al was responsible for the planning and execution of ten Golfweek’s Golfest consumer expositions, oversight of the annual “Golfweek at the Masters” client appreciation trip and administration of several company activation programs at key industry trade shows.

Al Snow also has served as a Director of Marketing with the PGA Tour.
