Good Morning from Madison WI where the promotion of "Top Chef" (on Bravo) is finally occurring.
Now, on to the credit card question. We currently have 35 full time staff with 28 of them holding Capital One credit cards. The cards have a 2-week, capped value limit controlled on the Cap One platform. We receive Cap One points.
The Cap One cards are all linked and imported by Expensify, our cc reporting platform. Each EE has Expensify access, uploads their receipts, sends reports to be approved. Once approved, Expensify administrator (me) exports the report to Quickbooks Online. We pay an annual fee per Cap One card; we pay a monthly fee for Expensify. Not cheap, but cheaper than having PT bookkeepers. I consider the points we receive (and cash out once a year for convenience sake) to wash the Expensify platform cost.
I have RAMP emailing regularly to ask to convert. Wheels on the bus are working fine, so it's not a need. Hope this helps.
Interesting fun food thought>> We are testing with Red Card (a Destination Madison partner, also) (look up redcardmealplan.com) to use their virtual debit card system. Why? We reimburse ALOT of travel writer expenses, and FAM Tour guests, and those remaining 7 employees of ours that don't need a constant credit card. Our goal is to provide a virtual card, (with a cap value and an active time period) to allow our guests to experience Madison, pay for all of those incidentals, and then be done. Again, we are in testing stage, BUT...... we have shared with Red Card that there may be more DMO's interested in the ultimate platform being created. Background: We have EPIC in Madison (a Destination Madison partner, also) EPIC uses the redcard platform to share virtual $$ with engineering recruits they bring into Madison for interviews. They share the virtual card and ask the recruits to go enjoy Madison (Obviously, EPIC has a larger budget than we) the night before their interview. Playing off of that, we want to see where this will go.
Sorry for the long message, hope this helps

Hi all,
We're looking into Divvy (now Bill.com) credit card and for those who switched over last year, I'd love to hear an update on how it's going.
Also, David, I'd love to hear what you decided to move forward with. We use Blackbaud Financial Edge for our accounting software and I'm also worried about the export/import portion of the expense report process.
Thank you!

I too am looking at switching to a new credit card and expense management system. Has anyone in this group used Ramp? If so, what has the experience been like?
I've read several positive comments about Divvy and how easy it is to use. I have one concern with Divvy though. We currently use Xero as our accounting software. The Divvy rep I spoke with said we would still have to download and paste credit card transactions into a CSV template and reformat the file in order to upload to Xero (there isn't an automatic sync to Xero). Has anyone had any experience with doing this, and if so, what has it been like? I don't want to replace a lot of current manual processes (copy, paste, reformatting files) with other manual processes of copy, paste, and reformatting files.
I'm leaning towards Ramp since it syncs with Xero but am curious to find out what others may have experienced. Thank you!

We have been using Divvy for years now, and it's fabulous. They have an app for uploading receipts on the fly and management is so easy for our expense reports, including managing all department budgets. Highly recommend.

Greetings!
Is anyone using a new credit card like Ramp, Divvy, Fyle, etc? Many of these new products allow you issue virtual cards, easily manipulate credit limits or spending categories for individual cards online, and some even offer free suites for things like bill pay. It's a lot to take in after having used the same traditional credit card for nearly 18 years.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Trent
