Job Title: Director of Community Partnerships Department: Operations

SUMMARY
Highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Liaison between Destination Door County and the Community Business Associations and Municipalities, acting as the bridge between these entities, this role is critical to fostering trust, strengthening partnerships, and creating an open and positive channel of communication.
COMMUNITY BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS (CBA’S)
• Act as the primary point of contact between DDC and the Community Business Associations, nurturing positive and productive relationships. Initiate and maintain regular communication with Community Coordinators and their boards understanding their needs, concerns, and priorities.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership between DDC and CBA’s to enhance the destination's appeal and visitor experience. Plan and conduct workshops, and networking events that bring together DDC representatives and CBA members to brainstorm ideas, share insights and make actionable plans.
• Serve as a conduit for information exchange between DDC and CBA’s, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of updates, initiatives, and marketing campaigns. Share relevant market research, industry trends, and visitor demographics to assist CBA’s building and evaluating their strategies.
• Collaborate with both DDC and CBA’s to develop strategic plans that align with the destination's overall marketing and economic goals. Contribute insights and feedback to refine marketing campaigns that resonate with both visitors and residents.
• Able to identify and leverage the strengths, resources, and opportunities of each stakeholder, and to address and resolve any conflicts or challenges that may arise.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of collaboration efforts and identify areas for improvement.
MUNICIPAL ENGAGEMENT
• Serve as the primary point of contact between DDC and municipal clerks, maintaining open lines of communication and fostering positive working relationships.
• Stay informed about local municipal policies, regulations, and procedures that impact tourism and DDC’s activities. Attend Village/Town/County Board meetings and Committee meetings based on the agendas.
• Facilitate meaningful and inclusive dialogue, collaboration, and action among different stakeholders. This includes regular meetings and/or discussions between DDC representatives and municipal clerks, and CBAs on joint projects (i.e. Municipal Reimbursement Program, Community Investment Grant projects, etc.)
• Disseminate relevant information gained from CBA Board & Municipal Board/Committee meetings, or agendas and inform President & CEO of opportunities to present DDC strategy,
marketing campaigns and tourism-related updates to municipal and CBA Boards. Keep DDC informed about any changes in municipal regulations or developments that could affect its activities.
• Maintain accurate records of meetings, agreements, and collaborative efforts between DDC and municipal clerks. Generate regular reports for President & CEO that outline progress, challenges and opportunities for improved cooperation
